Updated: Aug 2

In today’s fast-paced world, many people seek clarity and direction in their lives. Tarot cards are gaining popularity as tools for self-discovery and reflection in my coaching practice. This post examines a tarot spread crafted to address the pressing question, "What am I doing with my life?" By adding depth to each card in the spread, we can uncover valuable insights that inspire meaningful changes.

Understanding the Spread

The tarot spread we will explore consists of seven cards. Each card represents different facets of an individual’s journey. Let's explore the significance of each card and its connection to personal growth.

Card 1: Me Now

The first card represents your current state—where you stand in your life journey. It sheds light on your feelings, relationships(, and mental health). For instance, someone drawing this card may find themselves stressed about job security or feeling isolated in their relationships. Recognizing your present circumstances enhances self-awareness, a vital foundation for identifying future paths.

Approaching this card with compassion is crucial. Consider journaling about your feelings; an exercise like this can reveal patterns and underline important aspects of your current state.

Card 2: What I Am Afraid Of

Fear often acts as a barrier to progress. The second card highlights areas of anxiety or uncertainty. For example, if your worries revolve around public speaking or failing in career transitions, acknowledging these fears can empower you to face them directly. Research shows that approximately 70% of people experience fear of public speaking at some point in their lives.

Instead of letting fear shape decisions, create actionable plans to tackle these concerns. For instance, if public speaking is a fear, consider enrolling in a local workshop to build skills and confidence.

Card 3: Past Influence - Beneficial

This card reflects positive experiences or influences that have contributed to your growth. It might remind you of a supportive mentor or a fulfilling accomplishment, like graduating with honours. Recognizing these positive aspects helps you understand your strengths.

Reflecting on such influences builds a sturdy foundation for your present and future. By acknowledging successes, you reaffirm your ability to overcome future challenges, setting a motivational tone for your current path.

Card 4: Past Influence - Negative

Contrastingly, the fourth card addresses negative past experiences that might still shape your life. This could relate to a difficult breakup or a job loss that led to self-doubt. While confronting these shadows may feel unsettling, it’s essential for growth.

By understanding how past negative experiences have influenced current behaviors, you can break free from unproductive cycles. For example, if a previous failure in a project has led you to avoid new challenges, acknowledging this can help cultivate healthier patterns in your approach to future opportunities.

Card 5: I Promise Myself This

The fifth card focuses on personal commitments—vows you make to yourself as you move forward. Let’s say you promise to prioritize your mental health by practicing mindfulness each day for ten minutes. Setting clear intentions like this can catalyze meaningful change.

This promise can serve as a motivating anchor during difficult times, reminding you of your goals and guiding your actions toward a fulfilling life.

Card 6: This Will Be The Result

The sixth card reflects potential outcomes based on current actions. It highlights the reality that your choices have consequences. For instance, if you are currently avoiding networking opportunities due to fear, the result might be limited career advancement.

This foresight allows you to evaluate if the expected outcomes align with your desires. If not, it may be time to adjust your approach, perhaps by seeking mentorship or joining community groups to expand your network.

Card 7: What Will Be

The final card opens a window to future possibilities. It encourages you to remain receptive to new experiences and opportunities that arise from insights gained during the spread. Holding on to hope and curiosity about what lies ahead can foster growth.

While stepping into the unknown may seem daunting, embracing it is where true growth happens. Believing that you can create positive outcomes can empower you to take decisive steps toward your ideal future.

Integrating Tarot Insights into Daily Life

After understanding the insights from your tarot spread, integrating them into your daily routine is essential. Journaling your thoughts, practicing mindfulness, or discussing your insights with your trusted life coach can enhance the learning experience.

Consider working with a life coach for results-oriented sessions. Coaches can help you realize the promises you’ve made to yourself and offer strategies to confront fears and navigate past influences effectively. Their accountability boosts your personal growth and transformation.

Embrace Your Journey

The tarot deck is a powerful tool for those looking to explore their life's path. By reflecting on your present situation, understanding past influences, and envisioning future possibilities, you can gain clarity on your journey and make informed decisions.

Using insights gained from the tarot spread can lead to profound changes in your life. By honoring personal promises, facing fears, and embracing positive influences, you can tackle life’s complexities with greater confidence.

Through self-reflection and supportive guidance through coaching—it's possible for anyone to embark on a meaningful journey toward a more fulfilling life.

Discover the wisdom of tarot and allow it to help illuminate your life's purpose. You might just find paths you never considered before.
